As the largest metropolitan city in Vietnam, Saigon (also known as Ho Chi Minh City) captures our hearts in every single way, from diversified cuisine, famous landmarks, mixed conceptual buildings, to shopping heavens. Yet, nightlife in Saigon is surely a big thing. “The sleepless city” should always be one of the most proper brands for this Southern transit point. Here are our best-selected destinations where Saigon youngsters love to spend their night. Do not miss these in your Saigon night tour.

If not clubbing, then enjoying a glass of craft beer in a mystic lounge is a good choice for middle and upper-class Saigonese. Most of the finest bars gather around downtown, such as District 1, 2, and 3. However, moving further to the rest of the city, bars and lounges with unique schemes and beverages are also available. Below are some best-selected choices you can consider:
Air 360 Skybar
- Air 360 Skybar at 136-138 Lê Thị Hồng Gấm Street, Dist. 1.
Warning: No sportswear and flip-flops allowed.
- The Penthouse at 208 Nguyễn Trãi Street, Dist. 1.
Warning: No shorts and flip-flops allowed.
- S.I.X at 9 Nguyễn Trãi Street, Dist. 1.
Warning: No shorts and flip-flops allowed.
- Poc Poc Bear Club at 39 Phạm Ngọc Thạch Street, Dist. 3.
No dress code is specified.
Other than those above, my recommendation would go for some newly established bars that are mainly aimed at foreigners such as Heart of Darkness or The Irish Pub.

- Ngôi nhà số 7 Cafe at 7 Ngô Thời Nhiệm Street, Dist. 3.
Relax Garden Coffee at 12AB Thanh Đa, Bình Thạnh Dist.
- Vừng Café at 17 Ngô Thời Nhiệm Street, Dist. 3.

Located right close by the iconic Saigon Notre Dame Cathedral, a large area of Turtle Lake today is well-known for students’ hang-out nights. The most sought-after street food are rounded up fully. Enclosing the lake is full of cafeterias, milk tea shops and bistros serving a wide variety of cuisine. If you are joining a Saigon night tour, this sensational area would be a focal point.

Nguyễn Huệ Walking Street
This is my all-time favorite. Owning an interesting history as an ancient canal which was filled up at the end of the XIX century by the French, Nguyễn Huệ Street in the XXI century connects the Saigon River and Saigon City Hall at both sides. Visiting this Boulevard when the Sun is out, you will realize the true vibe of Saigon by night. Saigon locals of all ages choose to gather here at night mostly for a long walk in the wind. Sometimes at the weekends, live bands, hoverboard players, and various artisans pick this place to impress bystanders. Along with this giant thoroughfare, a great diversity of service can be found. You should not miss the building of Áo Dài Exhibition, Saigon Garden, Zone 87 and the outstanding Building 42 will full of coffee shops on each floor. Some steps further will walk you to The New Play Ground and Vincom Shopping Mall, two shopping paradises for young Saigonese.

“The King of Saigon nightlife” must be the finest term rewarded to this famous backpacker area. Without so many words to describe, Bùi Viện comes up in various travel magazines as where outlander tourists like to have fun. Yet, you may catch sight of many Vietnamese as well. Big drinkers, street food, the best smoothie shops in town and other essential services can be found here.
Bùi Viện by night
Last but not least, the land opposite District 1 across the Saigon River ends up this list in a tasty way. When I say tasty, I mean gastronomy. If Bùi Viện is the King of bars and pubs, then District 4 must be the King of street food. You can seek an endless source of street cuisine at a very reasonable price, which makes it such an acquaintance of students. While Vĩnh Khánh Street is famed for BBQ, hotpot, and seafood, then the locality surrounding Xóm Chiếu Street is super popular for night snacks and desserts. If you want to see them clearly, take a Saigon night tour with your best native buddy.
District 4 – Street food heaven
Hanging out in Saigon at night is a thing everywhere, which means you can have fun with your besties almost every single corner without having to move too far to the city center when staying on the outskirt. If you find yourself not a risk taker, then signing up for a tailor-made Saigon night tour is definitely the best choice.
